The three-line Monday plan

A tiny priority reset for weeks that arrive already shouting.

Long task lists create the illusion that everything deserves equal attention. Three lines force a more useful decision: what must move, what must be protected and what can wait.

Write these three lines

  • Move: the one outcome that changes the week.
  • Protect: the time, relationship or responsibility you will not sacrifice to get it done.
  • Wait: one legitimate task you are intentionally not doing yet.

Use it when the week changes

Rewriting the plan is not failure. It is the point. When a real emergency arrives, decide consciously what moves instead of letting every priority quietly collapse.

Keep the three lines visible. If a new request does not beat the Move line, it joins the list rather than taking over the day.
