A good everyday shoe does not need a dramatic technology story. It needs to fit your foot, feel stable and remain comfortable during the ordinary miles you repeat.
Run the store test
- Try shoes near the end of the day when feet may be slightly larger.
- Wear the socks you normally use.
- Check that toes can move without the heel sliding.
- Walk, turn and use stairs if available.
- Compare both feet and judge the less comfortable one.
Ignore the break-in promise
A minor change in feel is normal, but obvious pressure, rubbing or instability in the store rarely becomes a great fit later.
Specific foot pain, injury, numbness or gait concerns deserve guidance from an appropriate healthcare professional. A shoe purchase is not treatment.
